TUAP was founded in 1991 by scientists of State Technical University and Ioffe Physical-Technical Institute, St. Petersburg, Russia. TUAP activity was historically started from the projects related to thermonuclear plasma experiment. Advanced technologies and knowledges of thermonuclear experiment were then applied to solve the problems in many other areas, such as nuclear waste processing, development of plasma sources for silicon etching or material destruction studies.

During 14 years TUAP designed, manufactured and installed over 100 scientific devices for more than 40 research centers around the globe.

TUAP also participates in several governmental scientific programs, which gives us an opportunity to work with world class experts from scientific centers of St.Petersburg and Moscow. Such a wide variety of scientific equipment could be only made in collaboration with part-time contracted specialists bringing their experience to TUAP clients.

Taking part in the education process in Physics and Technology Faculty of State Technical University TUAP acquires the most promising young scientists who often take part in TUAP projects and then continue their career in foreign research laboratories.

Since its foundation the company is led by Prof. Boris Kuteev

Prof. Kuteev, born in 1949, is currently vice-director of Nuclear Fusion Institute, Kurchatov Research Center, Moscow – leading Russian institute developing nuclear fusion reactor. From 1980 to 2002 prof. Kuteev was leading a group of fueling and diagnostic pellet injection in St.Petersburg State Technical University. Prof. Kuteev obtained a Full Doctor degree in Physics (Ioffe Institute) in 1988, has authored more than 100 articles and holds 20 patents.

The company in St.Petersburg is managed by Dr. Vladimir Sergeev

Dr. Sergeev, 1955, is a vice-dean of Physical and Technical Faculty of St.Petersburg State Technical University. From 1985 to 2005 Dr. Sergeev led diagnostic pellet injection group in St.Petersburg State Technical University. Dr. Sergeev obtained a Full Doctor degree in Physics (Ioffe Institute), wrote more than 80 articles.
